Trade-In Device Eligibility Requirements
Device Functionality
- The device must power on, hold a charge, and not shut down unexpectedly.
Battery Health
- Devices with a battery health below 80% and displaying a "SERVICE" warning will be considered defective, reducing the trade value of your iPhone.
Display Condition
- The display must function properly without any black spots or pixelation.
- For iPhone 8 and above, the device must have the “True Tone” feature. The absence of this feature indicates a replaced screen, lowering the trade value.
Physical Condition
- Devices must be free from breaks, cracks, and significant defects beyond normal wear and tear, including:
- Multiple scratches, dents, or dings
- Water damage
- Corroded charging port, SIM, or battery terminal contacts
- For devices with damaged screens, the retail repair cost will be deducted from the trade value, provided all other conditions are met.
Battery and Charging Port
- Devices with damaged or swollen batteries will not be accepted.
- Charging ports must be fully functional, supporting both charging and data transfer.
Security and Data
- iCloud accounts and passcodes must be removed.
- Reactivation Lock, Google Factory Reset Protection, or any other anti-theft locking software must be disabled.
- Prior to trading in your device with TECH-DOT.COM, perform a factory reset and remove all personal data, ensuring all locks and passcodes are removed and the device is set to the Home Screen.

Age Requirement
- Participants must be 18 years or older. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
